David Macer - Lead Pastor

David grew up in Erie, PA and attended Penn State University before joining the United States Air Force. He was stationed at George AFB in Victorville, Ca for 7 years and Norton AFB in San Bernardino, Ca for another 3 years. At that time, he realized that his degree in education from Air University, teaching in an Air Force Leadership School and an NCO Academy were all part of God's plan to prepare him for ministry.
He left the Air Force after 10 years of service to play professional golf and work in ministry while traveling. Eventually, God led him to Shepherd of the Hills where he served as Adult Singles Pastor for 7 years before planting the new church in the Antelope Valley. He has a BMin in evanglism from Londen Institute and is working on an MMin at Londen Institute as well...
His passion is for leading people to Jesus and seeing Shepherd - AV make a huge difference in the lives of people in the Antelope Valley!
David is married to Kari and they have a 13 year old son (Matt) and an 9 year old daughter (Christina).

Dwayne Smith is the oldest of 14 children and was raised on a farm north of Syracuse, New York. An art major in high school, he received an Associate Arts Degree in Animal Science before moving to southern California. Having worked in construction in his early years prepared him for the variety of tasks required for the many years in California that he has worked in the event industry planning parties and events. Most recently he has worked for Viking Sewing, selling sewing machines and teaching machine and craft classes.
Originally joining the Porter Ranch campus in 2002, Dwayne moved to the Agua Dulce campus shortly after moving to Agua Dulce in 2005. Easter 2008 he again changed campuses to help start the Antelope Valley campus where he has been organizing the volunteers and overseeing the setup and teardown of that campus service until they moved into their building in September 2009. During his years as a Shepherd member Dwayne has served with the Holiday décor team, Hallelujah Harvest team and other ministry events when called upon.

Charlotte grew up in Arleta, California and was thoroughly involved in her local church as well as attending Christian school. She is so blessed to have had an amazing youth group experience that birthed a passion in her for missions and ministry. She had the opportunity to come alongside people of different cultures and minister with them through her high school and college years.
She graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2007 with a Major in Youth Ministry. She served as the Youth Director/ Youth Worship Leader at Lynwood Worship Center for two years. She had the opportunity to start a dance ministry, and take a few of the youth on a short-term mission's trip to Mexico. It was at Lynwood Worship Center where the Lord began to grow her in worship leading.
After graduating from college the Lord led her to work at Shepherd of the Hills Church where she interned in the Sports Ministry. Through this the Lord provided the opportunity for her to became a substitute teacher/Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Hillcrest Christian School, while still attending Shepherd. That summer she felt the Lord's call to serve overseas and spent three months as a Missionary Volunteer in Rwanda. Upon returning from Africa the Lord placed her back at Shepherd of the Hills where she currently serves as an assistant in the Missions Department and the Shepherd of the Hills AV Worship Leader. She loves to worship God through song, loves young people, and loves to smile. She thanks the Lord for the blessing of serving Him in ministry.
